1. Definitions
In these Terms and Conditions, "Company", "we", "us", and "our" refer to EweKente.com and its affiliated entity Neibahood. "Customer", "you", and "your" refer to any individual or entity that places an order on our website. "Website" means ewekente.com and any sub-domains thereof. "Products" means the authentic Ewe Kente fabrics, vintage African textiles, and any other goods sold through the Website.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing the Website, creating an account, or placing an order, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions in their entirety. If you do not agree to any part of these Terms, you must not use the Website or purchase any Products. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Website following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
3. Products & Authenticity
All Products sold on EweKente.com are authentic and sourced directly from family weavers and artisans in the Volta Region of Ghana and West Africa. We maintain complete traceability from weaver to buyer. Product images are representative and individual items may vary slightly in colour, pattern, and dimensions due to the handcrafted nature of the goods. We reserve the right to discontinue any Product at any time without notice.
4. Ordering & Payment
By placing an order, you make an offer to purchase the Product(s) at the stated price. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion. Payment is processed securely at the time of checkout. All prices are shown in your selected currency and include applicable taxes where required by law. For custom or made-to-order pieces, a non-refundable deposit may be required at the time of order confirmation.
5. Shipping & Delivery
Delivery within Ghana, Togo, Benin, and Nigeria takes approximately 3 days. Delivery to the rest of Africa and International destinations takes 7-21 days. All preorders take 2-3 weeks. Estimated delivery timeframes are provided at checkout and are not guaranteed. We are not liable for delays caused by customs clearance, postal services, or circumstances beyond our control. Risk of loss or damage to Products passes to you upon delivery.
6. Returns & Refunds
You may return eligible Products within 14 days of delivery, provided they are in their original, unworn, and unwashed condition with all tags attached. Custom and made-to-order items are non-refundable unless faulty or incorrect. Return postage is at the customer's expense unless the item is defective or incorrect. 7. Intellectual Property
All content on the Website, including text, images, logos, product descriptions, and design, is the property of EweKente.com or its content suppliers and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content on the Website without our express written permission.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, EweKente.com and Neibahood shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Website or purchase of Products. Our total liability in relation to any order shall not exceed the price paid for the relevant Product(s). Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraudulent misrepresentation.
9. Privacy
Your personal data is collected and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using the Website, you consent to such processing and you warrant that all data provided by you is accurate. We use your data solely to fulfil orders, communicate with you, and improve our services. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
10. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ghana. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ghana.
