The Agotime-Kpetoe Kente Weaving Village is a renowned cultural town located in the Volta Region of Ghana, situated right along the border with Togo. It is celebrated as the absolute heart of Ewe Kente weaving
The Agotime Kente Village is centered around Agotime Kpetoe in Ghana's Volta Region. It is universally recognized as a cradle and primary hub for Ewe Kete (also known as Agbamevor or Ewe Kente cloth).
Situated just 25 kilometers southeast of Ho near the Togo border, this community boasts a 300-year-old weaving legacy featuring over 150 unique patterns. Unlike the Ashanti Kente from Kumasi, Agotime’s handwoven masterworks are praised for their distinct geometric designs and are often much more affordable.
